This happened to me the other day, if you’re not aware that black line goes from my fuel pump towards my injectors eventually. Car died while driving, since I recently did the fuel pump I thought I’d pop it out and do a little inspection on the side of the road. Whoops.

I had a slight bog under light throttle that was driving me mad
Turns out it was a crack in a rubber line like this coming off of the gas tank

I went from slight bog to no turning over at all, had to push my car to a neighborhood and pull the fuel pump out on the side of the road haha... Good thing it’s only held in there with 4 screws and 8 nuts.

That’s the beauty of a carbed car; I fixed mine with two small hose clamps because I don’t have a fuel pump located at the tank

No barb fitting? How is it going to stay on long-term? There has to be some kind of flare.

There is a barb fitting, no idea how it backed off. Fixed it though.
